" This being my first time fully involved in this project, it was interesting to learn how it works from the inside out.
First of all, none of this could've been done without the generous contributions your organization receives. I as a Chicago Public School teacher is
so appreciative of organizations that follow through their commitment to students. The collaboration between the two schools is extraordinary!
Especially the chaperones! I could not have not done it without the organization or cooperating schools volunteers that come along on the trips.
But most important is the path your organization sets forth to the students.
Having (CPS) urban kids learn early that there is a world outside of their own neighborhood.
Learning that good schools are out there and in these schools are regular kids with the same dreams, goals, and interests as them.
Your foundation instills in these kids the importance to expand their horizons to pursue higher education!
I can't wait till we get feedback from students whose path cross again in college!
Thank you so much for the opportunity and cannot wait till the next time we do this again.

(Mosaic Project)
Comments from kids about the value
of the mosaic project:
- Each piece of the mosaic is like a new friend
- The mosaic is like piecing together a friendship
Comments from teachers:
- The interaction is the main thing, and the art product is an offshoot
