Building a Bridge of Cultural Understanding Through Art

Do Your P'Art Foundation brings young people together from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds through artistic collaboration

Welcome

We do this this by pairing up schools located in different areas of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Each collaboration is provided with materials, supplies, transportation to and from partner schools, as well as artist-in-residence and industry professionals to enhance the students’ exploration of their projects in music, drama, dance and fine art.

Projects are designed to engage participants in discussion, research and collective decision-making to create a collaborative learning experience for all. The purposeful interactions involved in the process of art-making lends itself to creating awareness amongst participants that allows them to view the world from a new vantage point.

Art is used as a catalyst to create the possibility of open communication. While students work together to create art, they also build relationships and develop understanding.

Making the world a better place through the arts.
