The theme of the environment continued through the 2009-2010 season.  Approximately 800 students collaborated with a partner to create art inside of cardboard boxes.   Some of the artwork expressed concerns about the current environmental issues, while others showed the beauty of the environment.   All art was created using recycled materials.
All of the artwork was showcased for a month long exhibition, from April 20 through May 19, in the Apparel Mart in downtown Chicago.  The installation was developed by the Illinois Institute of Technology, under direction of Professor Frank Flury.   Students were given the opportunity to see their art on display on the day of their Wendalla boat tour.
